From Lab Bench to Market Impact
Our Journey
In life sciences, groundbreaking discoveries too often languish, lost in translation between the lab bench and the market. BTS Consulting was founded in 2009 by a molecular and cell biologist who spent a decade at the forefront of scientific innovation before diving into marketing. The company was born from a deep-seated frustration experienced first-hand: agency after agency struggled with understanding the “why” and the “how” of our work. We watched brilliant science struggle to find its voice and reach those who needed it most. With our experience, we understand the unique challenges of launching complex healthcare and life sciences discoveries, not just intellectually, but because we’ve walked that very path as both inventors and marketers. We have personally witnessed the lost momentum and missed opportunities when novel scientific innovations meet generic marketing approaches.
Born from the lab and built for commercial impact, we are the scientific strategists dedicated to amplifying your breakthrough research.
Scientists who became marketers
Before entering marketing strategy, the BTS team worked directly in scientific and healthcare environments. The team brings hands-on experience in molecular biology, cell biology, diagnostics, gene therapy, pharmaceutical commercialization, medical device marketing, hospital sales, and healthcare strategy. BTS acts as an immediate extension of internal teams, eliminating the need for organizations to educate their marketing partner.
Meet the scientists, strategists, and marketers behind BTS. Our diverse team brings decades of combined experience across clinical development, commercialization, digital strategy, and regulatory-compliant content. We unite rigorous scientific understanding with cutting-edge marketing acumen to drive your success.
Brad Saeed, MS, MBA
Founder, President, & Lead Strategist
Brad founded BTS Consulting in 2009 with a mission to bridge the gap between science and strategy in life sciences marketing. A seasoned biopharmaceutical executive with over 25 years of experience, Brad has led commercialization initiatives across the pharmaceutical, medical device, and diagnostic sectors.
Under his leadership, BTS Consulting has partnered with life sciences and healthcare organizations, from startups to established enterprises, hospitals, CROs, health insurance, PBMs, and laboratory tools providers. The firm has successfully delivered results for clients across pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, medical devices, and vendors serving healthcare providers.
Before launching BTS, Brad served as Director of Healthcare Marketing at Seroka, where he built and led the firm’s life sciences marketing division. His earlier career includes six years as a top-performing hospital sales leader at Eli Lilly, Pharmacia, and Sanofi-Aventis, consistently ranking among the top five out of more than 500 sales professionals.
Brad’s foundation in science comes from beginning his career as a molecular and cell biologist, being among the first researchers to clone the human Factor VIII and IX genes, and launching Baxter’s early gene therapy efforts for hemophilia. He also developed some of the most sensitive immunodiagnostic assays for HIV, HBV, and HCV for a fully automated blood screening machine. At Abbott, he played an instrumental role in high-throughput oncology drug discovery and published several articles on modulating apoptosis-regulating pathways.
He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, an M.S. in Biology from Roosevelt University, and a B.S. in Biology from Bradley University.
